Build with P1 early. Help shape what comes next.
The P1 paid beta is a limited, hands-on program for qualified customers ready to use P1 in a real web scenario, work closely with Pantheon, and help refine the product before broader availability.
A governed way to build with AI
P1 is Pantheon’s AI harness for website creation and governance, an AI-native web composition layer on the Pantheon Platform.
P1 gives people and AI a shared way to create, review, and evolve web experiences using governed components, protected workstreams, collaboration, and a path to production.
Teams can use conversational AI, a visual web builder, or agents to move work forward while keeping people in control of consequential changes.
WHAT IS THE PAID BETA?
A supported, hands-on beta.
Customers
Organizations with meaningful websites
The paid beta is an early opportunity for selected customers to use P1 in a real scenario, provide structured feedback, and work directly with the P1 team.
partners
Agencies delivering across client fleets
This is a collaborative program. Participants should expect the product, documentation, workflows, and implementation patterns to continue evolving during the beta.
Seven signs the program is a fit
You do not need all seven. Most strong-fit organizations recognize themselves in three or four.
- Your website is central to how you make money or serve your mission.
- A simple page change takes weeks, even when the marketing work could be completed in an afternoon.
- Several teams need to work on the site at once, but one redesign or launch blocks everything behind it.
- A public issue—such as an inaccessible page, off-brand launch, or broken template—would create real consequences.
- You want your team to use AI to build and update pages, but not send unreviewed or off-brand work to the live site.
- You have brand and component standards in place, or you are ready to establish them.
- You do not need every signal. The strongest customer opportunities combine a meaningful web challenge with the ability to move quickly and participate actively in the beta.
What participants do
- Build or migrate an initial site or experience.
- Provide frequent, detailed feedback on the product and implementation experience.

- Work with the P1 team in regular working sessions.
- Participate in a case study or other proof activity where agreed in advance.

Frequently asked questions
What is P1?
P1 is Pantheon’s AI harness for website creation and governance - an AI-native web composition layer on the Pantheon Platform. It gives people and AI shared context, governed components, protected workstreams, review, and a path to production.
What is the P1 paid beta?
It is a limited, hands-on program for selected customers who want to use P1 in a real scenario, work directly with the P1 team, and help shape what comes next.
Is the beta free?
No. Participants pay applicable Pantheon hosting and site fees plus a separate P1 fee. First-year P1 pricing is discounted, and agency migration fees may apply.
Who is eligible?
The strongest customer candidates have a meaningful web challenge or active initiative, can move quickly, are willing to pay for the program, and are prepared to work closely with Pantheon as P1 develops.
Are partners part of the paid beta?
No. Agencies and implementation partners have a separate P1 Charter Partner Program. Visit the Charter Partner Program page to learn about that path.
What will participants build?
Participants may build or migrate an initial site or experience and evaluate P1 against a real campaign, redesign, migration, localization, modernization, or other web initiative.
What support is included?
Participants receive onboarding and close support from the P1 team, including access to relevant product, sales engineering, and implementation resources.
How much time is required?
The program requires active participation, regular working sessions, and frequent feedback. Implementation timing varies by site complexity, scope, readiness, and agency involvement. A medium-complexity implementation has taken approximately two months once an agency partner is engaged.
What capabilities are available today?
The current beta foundation includes visual component-based page building, governed workstreams, review, merge and release workflows, media management, and AI-assisted building. Specific models, agents, integrations, checks, and collaboration features should be confirmed for the participant’s environment.
Does P1 replace WordPress, Drupal, or Next.js?
No. P1 is an additional creation and governance path. Existing framework choices and web investments can remain part of the operating model.
Is P1 an autonomous publishing system?
No. P1 provides AI assistance with human-in-control governance. Changes remain visible, reviewable, and attributable, with the appropriate approval path for consequential changes.
Are customers locked into P1?
No. Customers retain ownership of their production site and content. The specific transition process and any associated costs should be addressed in the beta agreement.
Does joining the waitlist guarantee acceptance?
No. The P1 team reviews submissions and contacts selected applicants about fit, timing, scope, and commercial details.
What happens if we are not accepted into the current cohort?
Applicants may remain in a nurture path and receive future updates as fit, capacity, and timing evolve.
When will P1 be generally available?
The product and implementation approach are still being refined through the beta. Pantheon will share broader-availability timing as product, commercial, and operational readiness are confirmed.
